Residential projects that just exceed the threshold for a qualifying regular While-You-Wait email project and Commercial Interior Finish projects. The criteria for the Residential While-You-Wait emails may be found on While-you-Wait section on the Residential Building webpage.
The criteria for the Commercial While-you-Wait may be found on the Lub Tsev Lag Luam Webpage los yog lub Permit Procedures' webpage.
The intent is that the building and MEP review of these types of projects can be accomplished by the Permit Expeditor in less than 2 hours. If it is necessary to defer the MEP reviews to a separate permit review later, the applicant will be notified of such by the accelerated plan reviewer. If a separate permit is required due to deferred review, scope change or proposed increase in construction cost, an additional accelerated fee will be applicable if the applicant requests acceleration. The goal of the expeditor reviewing a Type 1 Project is to issue the permit the same or next day, or if revisions are required and received within 1-2 days, can be issued within 3-5 days.
